The Art Of Presentation
Today, we covered the basics of giving a strong presentation. Many books, such as Presentation Zen and Slide:ology dig deep into the psychology of colors, font sizes and the use of creative imagery to make a point. Today, I just wanted to show a few of the basics, illustrate some “what not to do’s” and to have a former student, Miranda James, come in to show us a great presentation from last year’s class (except for my slow trigger-finger switching slides).
Warning: Toward the end of the class there is a presentation by legendary self-marketer Gary Vaynerchuck. It’s a PG-13 performance. If it weren’t right in line with his Jersey roots and so full of worth-while information, I would not otherwise have aired it in a classroom setting. You’ve been warned.

There is so much more to say and do with this topic, but sadly we’re out of time this semester. For anyone that may be interested in becoming a true presentation ninja, I strongly suggest making your way over to Ethos3.com. They are one of the finest presentation companies in the country and we’re very proud that they call Nashville home.
Until next time, get out there and put on a great show!
