Do you have any idea how hard it is to make a commercial people don’t mind watching? It’s so freaking hard. But do you have any idea how much harder it is to make a commercial that people like so much they SHARE IT WITH THEIR FRIENDS?? Are you kidding me? And for the love of Jeebus, do you have any clue whatsoever how likely it is that a company would create a commercial so effective that it became the topic of a PinkyGonzales.com blog post? That literally has never happened before in the history of mankind. Ever. That’s amazing.
Toyota is the brand behind this masterpiece. It was released on Sunday, and as of this posting it has been viewed a little more than 678K times. Not bad for 5 days, but I predict an exponential jump in that number, into the millions, within a few days. Maybe sooner.

I call this technique the, “Hey! What’s that over there!?” maneuver. Just when we thought that we would never buy another Toyota vehicle again, let alone something we would put our whole families in, those tricksters made us laugh. I guess they’re not so bad after all. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if everyone was as nice and hilarious as that Toyota family? Yea. It would. I’m gonna do my part and buy one of those minivans.

The thing is, it’s a little too realistic. It makes me want to cry, not laugh. (Kind of like The Office.)
